Jhargram is one of the most backward and remote subdivision in the State of West Bengal located at the extreme western side of the state surrounded by forests and small hills. The place is dominated by Casts and Tribes named Santhal, Lodha etc. As said to be the son of the nature, these people have their natural sporting instinct and ability, which is totally neglected and wasted due to non-development, poverty and lack of infrastructure. Keeping all this in mind an Association was found by few of the sports lovers of the area, which will try to address some of these problems with its limited capacity and resources up to a certain extend, to raise a small ray of hope and life among these neglected people.  To begin with, the association has established a cricket academy 08^th May, 2000.
